Dr. Loren Borud dominates the medical scene in America as he is regarded as one of the most respected and experienced plastic surgeons in the country. Born in Minot, North Dakota, Borud always felt in line with the medical profession but few expected him to pursue such a phenomenal career as a medical practitioner and plastic surgeon. Dr. Borud has to his credit certification by the American Association of Plastic Surgery. Loren has also penned a remarkable and unique book on the financial issues revolving around the industry of plastic surgery. Plastic surgery has gained the status of a distinct facet of the vast field of medicine and Dr. Borud is one of the key players in this industry.
Dr. Loren Borud is a role model for young medical students who aspire to reach heights of success in this profession. Dr. Borud’s first steps in the medical field can be traced back to Harvard Medical School where he studied medicine and eventually qualified as a doctor. Incidentally, Loren also went on to become part of the teaching faculty at the same institute and served as an assistant professor for eight years. During his residency at UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Borud had the fortune of training in General Surgery at UCLA for five years which was followed by his association with some of the other top medical hospitals and centers.
Dr. Borud has the honor of being a Harvard certified plastic surgeon; however, prior to getting this certification, he opted for a 3 year training program at the Plastic Surgery Department at New York University. During medical practice, Dr. Loren Borud also completed a comprehensive research project on division of plastic surgery. After having done countless successful body contouring surgeries, Dr. Borud is considered an authority on surgeries such as breast enhancement, breast reduction, nose reshaping, liposuction, facelift, thigh lift, morbid obesity and lymphedema. In fact, Dr. Borud is one of the key figures whose relentless efforts led to the historical discovery of treatment for lymphedema. Dr. Borud’s collaboration with Swedish doctor, Hakan Brorson, at Harvard Lymphedema Clinic resulted in this phenomenal contribution to medical science.
Dr. Loren Borud also takes interest in entrepreneurship which manifested in the foundation of ‘Borud Consulting’ through which he has been offering high class consultancy services since 2008. Despite a busy schedule, Dr. Loren Borud aspires to complete his MBA Executive some time soon. Dr. Borud is also an avid cyclist and currently resides with his family in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
